Hi,

I recently upgraded a galaxy S3 to android 4.3 (previously in 4.1.2 IIRC), and noticed a battery drain issue: memotoo uses more than half of the battery life according to the android battery usage app. FYI, the same problem occurs with the Funv10 app, and neither apps caused the problem on my phone before the upgrade.
I tried disabling the automatic sync, and disconnecting from my funambol server, this did not solve the issue. I couldn't find any similar report in the forums (at least not on android, and nothing related to a 4.3 upgrade), is this a known issue ?

Normally this problem is corrected, may be you have not the last version of "Memotoo sync".

Hi,

Thanks for your reply. I'm definitely running the latest version of memotoo. I also checked with the latest version of funv10, same problem. I also tried to uninstall/reinstall the memotoo app, to start with a fresh contacts and calendar database, without success. Is there anything I could check in the logs to troubleshoot the issue ?

Very strange ... May be disable the schedule sync in settings ?
I think I can not check information in log files...

Hi,

The scheduled sync is already disabled, and the battery drains even when I'm not connected to my funambol server. As soon as the memotoo app is running, even disconnected and not synching, the problem occurs, so I guess it might be related to a background service. I'll try to see what's happening in ADB when I have time. Do you know what was the problem you were speaking about in your first reply ?

sorry to wake up this old thread : just an additional note to say that same problem is present on a kitkat rom (carbon): the memotoo icon stays in the notification zone forever (or until I kill it) and drains a lot of battery.

I confirm this problem on kitkat
You should use Calddav sync and carddav sync for now

Hi,
I have three devices on which I installed memotoo 10.1.3.5 during the last days:
Samsung Galaxy S2 with Android 4.1.2
Samsung Galaxy S5 with Android 5.0
Google Nexus 7 with Android 5.1.1
Since this installation all three devices consuming endless power. memotoo is running permanently, doing nothing but consuming power.
This should be fixed since last post or am I wrong?

I thought I had corrected the problem with version 10.1.3.5 ... so bad news that you had this problem on many Android versions ...
Sorry for the moment, I have no solution to correct this ... May be disable the schedule sync ?
