I did however notice that at this time using a web browser to connect to the email server didn't work either (it did work in past). Maybe the problem is at the server side and that may be the cause of the error. I'll investigate is the coming days and come back on this forum with the result of my investigation.

Now they are done, but I still can't sync. My best guess is that they disabled EWS for some security reason (that would fit the company profile). End of story.
