Calendar sync to Android failing

In the past, I'd had some issues with disappearing calendar events, and also with events not syncing to my Android. I didn't follow those up, just deleted the calendars and stopped using Memotoo calendar sync for a while. (I'm not seeking help here, I only mention it in case it may affect the current issue).

Today, I've attempted to add calendars again, and sync them with my Android. To avoid potential event deletions, I've set up the calendars in Memotoo as read-only, which I want to send to my phone; two-way would be great, but at least this way I can see what's coming up.
However, the sync to my Android isn't working. It gets halfway through the process, and then says "Last sync failed" with an exclamation mark symbol. It won't let me view the log, so I can't see any further detail.

Any ideas what may happen here, or what I might try? Cheers.
