I tried syncing with owncloud through caldav; first thing I noticed is that I have to separately select all categories I want to sync (I simply want to sync all categories into one calendar), but after I did, it created a separate calendar for each category, all named "unnamed".

Strange... To help you, can you add again the CalDAV sync to owncloud in Memotoo, after I will check the problem.
