Cant' delete a large number of duplicate contactsRSS Feed

I had about 1600 duplicated contacts in my address book after a somewhat disastrous synchronization with Thunderbird via the Zindus plugin.

Attempts to either select the default set of deletions or to modify that default and delete a large number of duplicate entries fails silently. The only idication of failure is that the green "success" dialogue box does not appear.

I have now been through this list multiple times trying to remove these duplicates. So far, the only way that I can proceed is to uncheck all selections and manually select and delete about 100 entries at a time, While this is effective, it is also time-consuming.

Any suggestions?
