Sogo died with Thunderbird Thunderbird 8, Funambol puts email into "additional email"RSS Feed

Hi,
I'm struggling with Memotoo to Thunderbird... was using Sogo (downloaded directly from www.sogo.nu) but it broke when T'bird upgraded itself to 8.0. Even the just released Sogo client 3.107 hasn't breathed life into it.
Thought I'd try Funambol - downloaded Maurus's latest update for 8.0 ( http://files.maurus.net/file/funambol-mozilla-sync-client-win32-tb8+dev8.xpi) - this partly works, but puts the email addresses into the "additional email address" field which is not ideal.
Have resorted to exporting an ldif file and manually importing to T'bird until I get a working sync solution.

Are these known problems?
