address book corrupt

My Memotoo address book has become completely corrupt.
After synchronization with Gmail and Live mail, my address book became completely corrupt. Many contacts were doubled, some were deleted, others were partly corrupted: photos of contacts from Facebook became exchanged with other people, web addresses were copied to other contacts, my own profile photo was replaced by a strange photo of someone else and my personal info was gone!
I tried to replace the address book with a backup after removing the synchronisation "services". There were no longer duplicates, but the other corruption was still in place.

I have to conclude that the Memotoo service I am paying for is still very unstable and contains a lot of very serious bugs. However, does anyone know a better alternative?

Maybe also of interest to you: I found a work-around for the buggy synchronization of Memotoo contacts with Gmail contacts.
The buggy duplication of contacts is the result of a wrong exchange of the first and last name when uploading the same (!) contact list to Memotoo and Gmail and then starting the synchronization.
Work-around: delete all contacts from Gmail, upload contacts only to Memotoo, then start synchronization only from Memotoo to Gmail, and change into a two way synchronization afterwards.
