Maximized calendar view does not stay maximizedRSS Feed

At the office I am stuck with a small but otherwise very good LCD display.

In calendar view that means that the right side (with all my appointments) is a rather tight squeeze whereas the left (and less useful) part is wasting space.

I often contemplated how more useful it would be to be able to maximize the right part, until today I noticed a very small triangle that does just that.

The problem however is that it does not stay maximized. When I edit an appointment for example, the view becomes smaller leaving white space on both sides. I tried with different browsers and it occurs on all.

Is this a bug and can it be fixed?
