Synchronizing contacts with BlackBerry messes up groups

When I synchronize my Memotoo contacts with my BlackBerry phone (Bold 9000, using Funambol plugin) the groups are not synchronized correctly.
If a contact is in multiple groups, on my BlackBerry a new group is created with the names of the groups concatenated.
For example: If "Ron Bevers" is in group "Colleagues" and also in "Friends", after synchronizing my BlackBerry has a group called "Colleagues; Friends".
What I would expect however is that two seperate groups are created on my BlackBerry which are both checked/marked for this contact.

It seems to me, this is caused by the separation character used. Maybe a comma (,) in stead of a semi-colon (

can be used as separator for groups?

When I want to synchronize a group always all contacts are synced not only the group contacts which i wanted.
