How can I invite a complete contact group to join an event?
Maybe I am missing something, but currently I have to type in all contacts one after another.
It would be helpful to be able to invite a contact group the same way I can do when I add recipients to a mail via LDAP protocol.

Yes you can do this
When you add contact to an event, select the group and after select all with Ctrl+A:
Memotoo Cloud My Calendar Schedule an event with your contacts
