To-do list sorted by due date

To-do list is not sorted at all or the tasks are just left in the order they were entered. Anyway they are not sorted either by due date or alphabetically.

I believe sorting the tasks by due date is appropriate. I mean, what you want to see in your to-do list (task list) is what tasks are due in the next days. It does not matter which task was entered in the list first. You might have entered a task two weeks ago which is due in 2 months and also entered a task yesterday that is due tomorrow. You want to see the second task first because it has a more imminent due date.

Anyway, any task/to-do list software I have seen sorts the tasks by due date with the ones with the closest due date at the top of the list. Myself, I am so used to looking at the task list to determine what needs to be done today in order to meet deadlines, that I find it very hard to use an unsorted list.

I think it is a bit counter-intuitive that the task list settings are (only) under the calendar tab. Kind off breaks the logical tree structure if you know what I mean.
