I sync between two Google account contracts every couple of weeks ... regularly I find that updates to records are being dropped. It looks like changes in one account are being overwritten ... is there a step by step explanation of how sync works, and in particular, what happens when changes are made to the saem contact on both accounts?

Strange, can you go in your Gmail account (that the error message) and after click again on "Authorize Memotoo to access my Gmail contacts" in this page:
