First, their address book left a lot to be desired. So, I moved to Google Contact Manager as the hub for my address book. Next, Yahoo's calendar wouldn't sync properly with the iPhone. So, I moved my calendar to Google. Works great. I really should give up on Yahoo altogether. I'll keep trying.

I have tried to click again on "Authorize Memotoo to access my Yahoo contacts" here: https://www.memotoo.com/how-to-sync-yahoo-contacts.php 2. Synced Memotoo with Yahoo -> it did work the 1st time for me 3. But I tried to sync an other time and now it works !!! Can you try this and confirm me if it is OK for you ?
