I'm trying to set up sync with Google Calendar but I'm getting error messages stating "the user has exceeded his quote". This is without a doubt a google problem, but is there a way to do the initial setup through some kind of import into google rather than an initial (apparently too large) sync?

Can you try again ?
I think you tried to sync Google Tasks ? (because something the quota for the day is used...)

Hi, just tried to do an initial sync, and got the same error message.

Sync history indicates that only 55 events were synced before the quota was exceeded, and further syncing was blocked. Doesn't make sense...

EDIT: the message is actually somewhat different: "Calendar usage limits exceeded". This is the first time that I'm actually using Google calendar...

Thanks in advance for your help!

It is very strange ...
Google respond this:
HTTP/1.0 403 Forbidden
...
{
"error": {
"errors": [
{
"domain": "usageLimits",
"reason": "quotaExceeded",
"message": "Calendar usage limits exceeded."
}
],
"code": 403,
"message": "Calendar usage limits exceeded."
}
}

Do you use Google Calendar has described here ?

I'm no longer syncing calendars, so I couldn't say.

Hi Thomas,

I don't get it. Have 1'539 events in 1 calendar to sync, so hardly more than 10'000, as per the Google page on usage limits.

Can you get more info from Google?
