If I understand correctly, from the address book currently we can either:
1. email to one contact by clicking on one address in the main window, or
2. email to a group.
Can we take advantage of facility to "check" a temporary selection and email to them, rather than having to create a temporary group?

Sorry it is not possible...

Prefer use the method to write a new mail and after enter the begining of the name of the contact, and you will have the autocompletion. (it is possible for each contact)
